This body of work explores identity as a fluid and continuously forming process, shaped through presence, connection, and transformation. Rather than positioning identity as fixed or resolved, the work holds it in states of transition, where belonging is unstable, and becoming is ongoing.
The series examines how the self is constructed through what is expressed, withheld, and perceived. It considers the tension between internal experience and external recognition, and how identity is formed within systems that both shape and obscure understanding.
Materially, the work is developed through resin and sound. Resin is used for its capacity to hold depth, transparency, and suspended form, allowing layered impressions to exist within a single surface. These layers suggest shifting states of being, where memory, emotion, and perception coexist without resolution.
Sound operates as a parallel and integral component of the work. Recorded voice and ambient sound are translated into visual form through cymatic processes, where vibration becomes structure. These patterns are embedded within or translated into resin-based works, creating a dialogue between material and immaterial states.
Rather than illustrating identity, the work constructs conditions in which it can be experienced as unstable, layered, and evolving. The combination of resin and sound creates a space where presence is both visible and implied, and where meaning emerges through accumulation rather than resolution.
